Hello, Wild One

Good morning from Costa Rica! That’s right, Costa Rica 😎

I’m sitting on my balcony listening to the birds and monkeys, feeling the warm, humid air in my happy curly hair, gazing out at the vast, lush landscape. I am deeply satisfied. I absolutely love this kind of climate, it brings a plumpness to my being that is often lacking in Montana. I’ve been here at the beach since Friday, and I leave tomorrow.

Before then, I was deep in the jungle with an amazing group of women, assisting the luscious Kendra Cover with her retreat, Lush and Wild. I don’t even know where to begin.

There’s a smile on my face, a welling of tenderness in my eyes.

The magic that is woven when women come together is something deeply special and important. The collaboration I got to feel in the facilitation of that magic was on a new level for me. As you all know, I’m in constant service to deepening my medicine and work in the world, and this retreat felt like such a tangible, real-time experience of that.

There’s just too much inside of me to share! So here are a few big takeaways:

  • When women connect to their bodies, they get clarity not only on what wants to change in their life, but on how to do it.

  • INTIMACY. Into me you see. That in the being with, in the sharing of ourselves, in letting ourselves be seen and given to, we create intimacy and belonging with ourselves and each other. And that is so important.

  • That so many of us long to be seen and met just as we are. By others and also by ourselves. That we are hungry for our own meeting.

  • That our stories, beliefs, and narratives can really screw with us. They can feel so real, but I urge all of us to question if they are TRUE.

  • That pleasure and goodness are powerful. That a body that lets in goodness is good.

  • The shapes we take and how, when we play with them, change them, open them, experience them in others; it changes what is possible.

  • That fear is required for what is next.

That’s what I got for now. I know I’ll be digesting this one for a while. I also feel like, as I’ve grown, that experiences move through me in real-time. There isn’t a lot to process afterwards. It just becomes me. I like that.

I hope you are also learning new things about yourself and the world, having moments with others of true intimacy and belonging. I hope that with whatever is unfolding for you, you are staying close to yourself.

As always, I love to hear, just reply to this email and we will be connected.

I have a new offering stirring inside of me, so stay tuned, I will be sharing soon.

And, as always, if you’d like to connect about how my work and how it might support you living your true, free, wild life, reach out, let’s talk

I’ll close with a poem I’ve been walking with.

Instructions for living a life by Mary Oliver

Pay attention.

Be astonished.

Tell about it.
