Fear of Change: If Not Now, When?

We were given a language that we lost along the way.
The language of the body.
Heat, sweat, tingles, rushes up our arms, waves rolling from our bellies.
This language of life. Freedom is found in the fluency of it.
Fear of Change and the Language of the Body
When we can allow the waves of emotional energy fully in our bodies, we become more alive, more free with how we are and who we are.
It’s not just a beautiful idea. It’s tangible, real, physical, and in your body.
Many people don’t realize that what they call resistance is often fear of change showing up in the body as contraction or hesitation. Fear of change often appears as subtle bracing—tightening the stomach, chest, or breath when something new or unknown arises.
What Fear of Change Does in the Body
What becomes possible when you no longer contract your stomach when that rush of heat builds in the belly? What happens if you stop hardening your chest every time you start to feel unsure of yourself?
Do you want to find out? Because life is waiting.
When we work directly with sensation, fear of change begins to soften, and more choice becomes available in how we respond.
That freedom, and unique soul essence that is yours alone, is longing to be felt and brought more fully into the world.
Instead of overriding it, we can learn to stay present with fear of change as a physical experience rather than a mental story.

Moving Through Fear of Change Through Practice
Ready to become more fluent with your body?
Here's what I suggest........
Practice. Start connecting to your body at the level of physical sensations. (Temperature, movement, pressure) Check out my online course Embodiment Basics & Beyond, it guides you step by step through everything I have learned in a deeply embodied way. I also have 2 other packages of audio practices to support your deepening your own practice.
Do this work with other bodies. There is healing, growth, and transformation that cannot happen in isolation. Togetherness is a huge piece, that so many of us are missing. Right now I have two containers that offer this piece. BODY, free-flowing embodied movement classes for women held every Tuesday, and Embodiment Workshops taught through the Membership, available to anyone. These workshops dive deep and are a very effective and consistent way to deepen your learning.
Get 1:1 support. A direct route to deeper personal power, transformation, and freedom. Somatic Coaching via Zoom or in-person Bodywork in Bozeman + Livingston. If you're curious about this I would be happy to hop on a free discovery call with you to feel into if this work is right for you. Just hit reply to this email and we will be connected.
As fear of change releases, there is often more aliveness, flexibility, and capacity to move toward what matters.
For me, learning the language of my body and building my capacity to allow a greater depth of sensation, changed everything. It gives me freedom every single day. It is the most powerful tool I have. I want every single human to get to be the freest, most true version of themselves.
If not now, when?
